Silver Lake Farms in Rolling Prairie Indiana will host a barefoot water ski endurance tournament June 15, 2008. The Silver Sheep Figure-8 Challenge promises to be an exciting way for barefoot water skiers of all abilities to compete for trophies. The only requirement for competitors is the ability to get up on slalom or combo skis and step off to barefoot water ski! Skiers will compete in a head-to-head format with double elimination. Skiers will be towed in a figure-8 pattern until one of the skiers falls or lets go of the towrope. The last skier standing will win. Competitors will be divided into “Open” and “Entry” divisions. Awards will be presented to the top three competitors in each division. Skier check-in and registration will begin at 7:30am June 15, 2008. A skiers meeting will be held at 8:45am and the action will begin with the first two skiers at 9:00am. The action will continue until there is only one skier left standing! The Silver Sheep Figure-8 Challenge is a USA WaterSki sanctioned event. Sponsors include Silver Lake Farms, NoStiks Barefoot Water Ski Club, MATRx, LLC, and Lake Elmo Sports. Admission is free for spectators. Concessions will be available on-site.
