Just discovvered this site, very cool. On skier/family decline, bring back "frontwards only" wake slalom, without such a high penalty for not being able to ski backwards. This took MANY people (families) out of the game when it became a requirement to do so. It used to be, there was an "incentive" to learn such difficult things like backward one foot crossings, but, a two foot backwards was worth the same as a front one cross. If people chose to do so, the COULD ski two runs going frontwards, without penalty. I believe this change was too exclusionary for the masses. People want to have fun, and why make them learn backwards before they can enjoy testing themselves at a tournament? There may be phisical reasons, or simply not enough time by many to learn backwards. I say, change things back so that the masses can experience the joy and feelings of accomplishment that a tournament brings.
