Nick Skelton, Scott Brash and Ben Maher missed out on medals for Great Britain, as Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat took gold in the individual jumping.

The Republic of Ireland’s Cian O’Connor won bronze following a jump-off with the Netherlands’ Gerco Schroder – the country’s first medal of London 2012.

Skelton, Brash and Maher had made it through to the final round of 22 in Greenwich Park.

The trio won jumping team gold with Peter Charles on Monday.
